My Mama's Favorite (lately anyway lol)

I was wondering what I would do this year for the Weddings in Houston, Bridal Soiree, it's a very classy event geared toward the discerning bride. Every year we have the opportunity to work with the an awesome floral designer to feature a cake in their own design. This year one of my very good friend's in the business, J. Aubrey Sellers and I chose to work together. This cake was actually designed by Aubrey and executed by me. Our table by design, was definitely a hit at the show! As I said, my mother just thinks it's beautiful and that means the world to me! For more beautiful flowers check out Aubrey's Website: www.classicromance.com :0)

Friends Helping Friends...

Soooo, these cakes were photographed by a great friend in the business, Collins Metu! (check out his website: http://www.collinsmetuweddings.com/ ) Absoulutely brilliant photography, since he is trying to make his mark on Houston, I thought it would be cool to give him some photo credits in some up and coming magazines! He doesn't need too much of my help, but I thought I would offer. The first cake is actually already published in Modern Luxury Bride's Houston Magazine. The last cake was featured at the Houston Bridal Extravaganza via Floral Artist Extraordinaire, Rob Smith at Events in Bloom, he wanted me to create a cake to match a rug in his Floral display, it looked grrrrrreat! Although these "cakes" are "dummies", don't they look good enough to eat!?

Mary Liz Was all about Biz...

Well at least her mother was anyway...lol. Mary Liz only had one request and that was that her greaux grain ribbon from her dress be duplicated on her cake, and that's just what we did. It was a six tier cake separated with beautiful white roses flown in from France (why I don't know) Texas is all about flaunting your money when you got it honey! The cake looked magnificent in the rotundra of the infamous River Oaks Country Club. It was an all traditional butter cake for this blushing bride. Mary Liz and Howard will surely live happily ever after... ;0) Designed by Tiffani Janelle for Cake Creations, photos by David Jones

It's Been Done...

lol...sooooo we've all seen this cake, first made famous by Ron Ben-Israel of NYC. So many brides come to me asking for this cake and when I look at how long it's going to take to make those freakin' flowers, i get a bit discouraged lol. But Cake Designing is truly a labor of love. The Cake itself is a replica of how fragile life can be, each delicate flower falling away one by one. However this was Melissa's Cake, she was simple and elegant just like the Cherry Blossom itself...enjoy! Designed by Chef Tiffani Janelle for Cake Creations

Tracy McGrady

Well you know just like they need their height to be successful in their career field, Basketball players need big cake to play with for their birthday parties. Along with some guidance from his personal chef for a flavor. We were able to create this hawaiian inspired cake. It was amaretto flavored with a cerulean buttercream. Tracy and his beautiful wife Clerenda are still talking about this one...Designed by Tiffani Janelle for Cake Creations

Sweet Caroline

I really loved working with Caroline. Her Mother and Sisters assisted her on her trip to see us for a Cake Tasting and Consultation. She was a bit indecisive in the beginning, (as most brides are) but with a little guidance she was off to creating a beautiful custom-designed cake. Caroline is very simple and elegant, this was reflected in her entire wedding, however the cake was a beautiful expression of who she truly is. Each tier boasts a different design, including the bride and groom's first initials as a monogram. The Cake was 5 tiers of a traditional butter cake, with buttercream icing and filling. Alternating the cakes with flowers added to the overall grandeur of the cake, it was nearly as tall as me, 5'5" tall. It was a> sweet ending to a great day...Designed by Tiffani Janelle for Cake Creations
